Boiling Springs Habitat House Dedicated

Posted: Updated:
BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. -

A house that Boiling Springs Students helped pay for and build was dedicated Thursday.

Three years ago the students of Boiling Springs high school took on the challenge of building a habitat house in the community right behind the high school.

Today Habitat For Humanity, along with Boiling Springs High School students and faculty dedicated the new "Aaron's Bulldog House" in honor of their friend and classmate Aaron Brown.

Aaron was one of the student leaders of the project, and was tragically killed in a car crash in July of 2012.

His classmates worked to raise an average of $22,000 a year for three years and then helped provide the labor as the house was built.

They say they are proud that Aaron's goal was reached, and that his giving heart will always be remembered with the presence of this house in the Boiling Springs Community.
