College Station, Tx. -

A portion of an equestrian center that is under construction at Texas A&M University has collapsed.

Texas A&M spokesman Lane Stephenson confirmed to The Associated Press there had been an accident Saturday morning at the equestrian center, which is about a mile from the College Station campus.

He didn't immediately know whether anyone had been injured. Twisted metal beams could be seen at the site where a frame appears to have toppled.

KBTX-TV reported some workers were hurt, but it wasn't clear how many. The station said everyone has been accounted for.

Messages left with campus police were not immediately returned.
