WILLIAMSTON, N.C. -

Four men are behind bars in connection with a convenience store shooting back in June.

It happened when two men armed with handguns opened fire inside the FIDA Mart in Hamilton on June 27. That's on Highway 125.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. The suspects got away in a burgundy Ford Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis.

Deputies say they arrested Jerrell Antwen Jenkins, Tyquail Rasheen Matthews, Charles Torekeyo Highsmith, and Dequillon Mutrill Smith in connection with the incident.

They're charged with Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill (4 counts).

They're placed under various secured bonds ranging from $500,000 to $5 million.
