Union Woman Charged After Toddler Tests Positive for Cocaine

Posted: Updated:

A Union County mother is facing charges, after her 3-year-old tested positive for cocaine.

The Department of Social Services (DSS) conducted a drug screening on the young girl and her mother during a home visit on June 14. The results showed the child had traces of cocaine, cocaine metabolite, and THC in her system. Megan White, the child's mother, also tested positive for THC.

Narcotics investigators have received numerous complaints and conducted drug search warrants at White's home in the past. After receiving copies of the drug screenings, investigators got a warrant to arrest White for unlawful neglect towards a child.

DSS is continuing they're investigation into the matter.
