SPARTANBURG, S.C. -

David Nazaroff, was in downtown Spartanburg Sunday morning, pedaling his way through the Upstate on a long journey to raise money for Tripp Halstead.

Halstead suffers from traumatic brain injury, after being struck in the head by a falling tree branch during a storm outside his daycare in late October.

Just 5 days ago, Nazaroff started bicycling in New York and by Monday, Nazaroff will complete his mission for Halstead and his family in Atlanta, raising over $145,000.

"I just want to make it easy on the family. They're going through a lot. I can't imagine. I'm riding my bicycle. I know at the end of the day I will get off my bicycle. Their family, what they are dealing with, that's inspiration to me", said Nazaroff.

Nazaroff will head to Commerce, GA Sunday night and expects to finish in Atlanta Monday night.
