Customer Waits Weeks For Online Bargain Bought In April

GREENVILLE, S.C. -

You've probably gotten an offer in your email or seen one on a social media site. Those one day deals, offering a deep discount on products are popular these days.

When Bobbie Alston say a 7 inch Android tablet valued at $249, selling for just $79 through DealChicken.com, she had to have it.

"I thought, wow, this is a great deal," said Bobbie.

She wanted the smaller computer for a big cruise she's taking later this year.

"I wanted it because I wanted to do eBooks," said Bobbie. "I figured instead of packing three or four books, add to my weight on my flight, why not get this tablet and download the books that you want to read."

Bobbie says she bought the deal voucher April 20th and placed the order the next day. After several weeks with no tablet, Bobbie contacted the merchant, Widget Circle, and got an email response.

"The one that I got back from Widget said that they were working as fast as they could to complete the orders," said Bobbie. "But since then they have posted the same deal four times."

We contacted DealChicken.com and Widget Circle about Bobbie's order. DealChicken responded with an email saying Bobbie's delivery had been made. The email also stated:

"This merchant did sell a lot of vouchers so some customers have had to be patient, but the merchant is fulfilling all orders."

And when we went to see Bobbie again, this time she had her order. And she's finally ready for that big trip.

"This is the icing on the cake, right here," said Bobbie.

If you're making a purchase through those daily deal sites, be sure to check the refund policy because each site is different. Some offer deals that are "final sale".

Also, check the expiration date for your deal.

And if you have a problem with the product or service, contact the merchant directly.
