COLUMBIA, S.C. -

A judge sentenced Shirley Ann Rogers of Greenville for stealing and using her employer's identity and debit card.

Rogers will serve about two and a half years in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release. She must also make restitution of approximately $6100.

Rogers is charged with fraudulently using another person's debit card without permission and using another person's name and personal identification number to complete the debit card fraud. She pleaded guilty in February.

Prosecutors say Rogers had the victim's bank send her a new debit card, in the victim's name, to her home address. They say Rogers then activated the debit card, checked the balance, and made at least 15 purchases.

Court documents show Rogers then met the victim at the bank, returned the card, and admitted she mistakenly used it.
