SIMPSONVILLE, SC -

Eight people have been arrested and charged as a result of a four month long investigation.

Captain Kevin Threlkeld of the Simpsonville Police Department stated that "Operation Block Party" started after police received an anonymous tip in February. As a result of the tip, narcotics investigators began investigating a methamphetamine manufacturing operation around the Woodside Mill area in the Simpsonville city limits.

While serving a search warrant at a home at 210 West Curtis Street on May 31, investigators found a methamphetamine lab and two occupants of the home, 34-year-old Dennis Ryan Penland Jr., of Simpsonville, and Michael Jeremy Penland, also of Simpsonville, were arrested, Threlkeld stated. As a result of the raid, police discovered that a group of people were also involved in the manufacturing process.

On July 2, Police investigators served arrest warrants on Dennis Ryan Penland; Randy Lee Cox Jr., 36, of Simpsonville; George Fletcher Dean, 35, of Simpsonville; Johnny Walter Parker, 53, of Simpsonville; Travis Imbragulio, 32, of Simpsonville; Joyle Jefferson Eddleman, 25, of Simpsonville; Selena Lynn Eddleman, 36, of Simpsonville; and Allie Michelle Taylor, 22, of Simpsonville. Each were charged with conspiring to manufacture meth.
