GREENVILLE, S.C. -

Foothills Search and Rescue Team received a check for $3,000 to help fund costs associated with the nonprofit's rescue work.

"These people are ready to go at any catastrophe and to help out at any time" said the Animal Kennel Club Delegate, Linda Knorr, who presented the check during a ceremony in Downtown Greenville. Knorr went on to say, "without recognition, they do this as volunteers".

Foothills Search and Rescue is an organization which consists primarily of volunteers, assisting law enforcement in locating missing or unaccounted for persons.

The ceremony included demonstrations by the K9 units, gift drawings and an exhibition celebrating human and canine relationships by local artist and Dog Trainer, Erin Cronin-Webb.
