A Laurens County man is dead after losing control of a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle late Saturday night.

According to Greenville County Coroner, Barry Wright, Michael Yeargin, 48, lost control of the bike after clipping the rear end of another rider on Harris Road. Medics transported Yeargin to Greenville Memorial Hospital where Yeargin later died from blunt force trauma to the head and chest.

Yeargin was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
