GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. -

The Greenwood County Sheriff's Office has arrested a teenager in connection with a shootout with deputies.  On Thursday about 10:30 p.m. deputies said two drug agents responded to a home at 304 Briggs Avenue in Greenwood to investigate a drug complaint.

When agents arrived, deputies said one person ran from the scene while another person shot at deputies.  A deputy returned fire with his service weapon. No one was hurt in the incident.

The Greenwood County Sheriff's Office charged Demekia Martin, 17 with two counts of attempted murder. He was booked into jail.

The State Law Enforcement Division will investigate the shooting, which is normal procedure.
