Greenwood Co. Death Ruled Natural Causes

June 15 4:52 a.m. Update

According to a pathologist working with the Greenwood sheriff's office the cause of death was natural. They say the investigation is still open. The vehicle was also found.

June 15 10:12 a.m. Update

The Greenwood County Coroner has identified the man who was found dead in what deputies say was suspicious.

Phillip Joseph Baer was found dead according to the coroner.

An autopsy is being done on Baer's remains Monday morning.

Greenwood County deputies tell us they're looking into a suspicious death.

They were called out to 1522 Parkway at condo E-1 at 8:14pm Sunday night.

When deputies got there, they found an older man dead inside the residence.

We're told the Greenwood County Coroner, investigators and violent crimes units are on the scene.

The death is being ruled suspicious.

We're also told investigators are searching for a light blue 1998 Ford Ranger truck with South Carolina plates and license number 4368FY that could be involved.
