Sunday night, a prayer vigil was held at Princeton Baptist Church, to help get the word out about a missing Laurens County woman.

Family says Dorothy Madden wandered away from her home at 8:00 a.m. last Sunday.  They say she often would wander away from looking for her parents, who have been deceased for years. She suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and family says she could be confused.

7 On Your Side spoke with Madden's daughter and son-in-law who say this has been incredibly hard to deal with. They've spent sleepless nights wondering where she is and praying she'll come home. Family hopes the vigil will help bring closure to the search and keep the word out for the public to look for her.

Law enforcement says now they're relying on your tips. In a search where the missing person has been gone for so long, any opportunity for people to look out should be taken advantage of. Deputies ask you check around your house and in areas where someone looking to seek shelter might be able to get into.

Family says Madden rarely takes off a maroon jacket and she may have a purse with her as well.

A county wide search was started earlier in the week, and now law enforcement is relying on tips from the public.
