Our persistent wet weather pattern through much of June and July had one side benefit: we didn't have to worry about the heat! Clouds and rain kept temperatures below average most days.
Now that we've seen the return of 90-degree heat, you may be a little out of practice when it comes to ensuring the safety of you and others as the temperatures climb. Exposure to elevated heat and humidity can cause problems, and can even kill.

Don't forget to keep an eye on those who may have trouble keeping an eye on themselves...whether they're people or animals, ensure plenty of water is available and that there's someplace cool to get to. NEVER leave anyone or any animals in a car!
