A teenager was injured after the four-wheeler he was driving was struck by a pickup truck in Anderson County.

The wreck happened at 6:20 p.m. on Hunt Road in the 3 and 20 community of Anderson County.

Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly of the South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that a 15-year-old boy was driving the four-wheeler when he attempted to cross Hunt Road. The teen failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Mario Tackett, of Pendleton, and ejected from the four-wheeler.

The teenager, whose name was not available for release due to his age, was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries, Kelly said. Tackett was not injured.

No charges have been filed as a result of the crash.
