Eastern Carolinians flock to water parks to beat the heat

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Hot weather is attracting a lot of business to a new water park in Kinston.

9 On Your Side stopped by The Lions Adventure Water Park Friday at the Woodmen Community Center.

The park was packed today, but there was plenty of water to go around.

There's no charge there for Woodmen members. But you can still enjoy a day at the park for about $10.

And in Greenville, the new sprayground at the Dream Park couldn't have opened at a better time.

9 On Your Side caught up with people cooling off there; some of them kids from a local camp.

The Dreampark is next door to the Greenville Community Shelter on Chestnut Street.
