GREER, S.C. -

Two teenagers have been charged with two church burglaries in Greer.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office charged Elex Tyrell Gregory, 19, and Dezmund Trevon Cohen, 18, with two counts of burglary second degree, two counts of malicious injury to place of worship and petit larceny.

GCSO investigators say burglaries were reported at Washington Baptist Church on north Highway 14 and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on south Buncombe Road within hours of each other a week ago.

Greer Police took Gregory and Cohen into custody Tuesday after the sheriff's office says they identified the two as responsible.

Both men are being held in the Greenville County Detention Center.
