Deadly One Car Collision In Anderson County

Kenneth Hansen, 55, of Anderson went into some form of cardiac rest while driving his Ford pickup truck just after 3 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the Anderson County Coroner's office, Hansen lost control of the truck causing Hansen’s vehicle to crash.

Hansen died after sustaining a broken neck during the course of the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person from Anderson is dead after a one car collision Saturday.

Troopers say it happened on SC 24 at Alice Drive, five miles west of Anderson, around 3:06 pm Saturday.

They say the person was driving a 2000 Ford when it ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, became airborne and hit an embankment.

Troopers say the driver died at the scene and was wearing a seatbelt.

The name of that driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
