LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. -

Laurens County dispatchers received a call around 4:30 am regarding a fight at the Days Inn on Highway 56, just outside the Clinton city limits.

Clinton Public Safety officers arrived to the scene first, followed by Laurens County Sheriff’s deputies. Once on scene, deputies spoke with a man, identified as 41-year-old Jeffrey Victor Snow, of Clinton, and he claimed that he was involved in a fight with a man who went back inside and barricaded himself in a room with two women.

Deputies learned that the man may be armed and the Sheriff’s Office SORT Team responded and were sent inside the room. They did not find anyone inside the motel room, but did find a significant amount of damage inside the room.

Deputies took Snow in custody after it was determined he was the man staying inside the room.

Snow has been charged with two counts of malicious damage and further charges are pending.
