Deadly Hit and Run Accident On Hwy 25 In Pelzer

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident in Greenville County.

The accident happened about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday on Augusta Road in Pelzer.

Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. That vehicle left the scene and returned shortly. They say while the pedestrian was lying in the roadway she was hit by a second vehicle. They say the second vehicle is considered the hit-and-run vehicle.

Officials will not released the name of the woamn killed until family members are notified.

This collision remains under investigation and will be investigated by the MAIT team and we will update this story as we learn more.
