4-yr.-old mayor re-elected to 2nd term

Posted: Updated:
DORSET, M.N. -

He launched a campaign that received worldwide attention and that effort paid off this weekend.

4-yr.-old Bobby Tufts won a second term as mayor of Dorset, Minnesota.  Thousands cast their ballot in an election that usually only gets a few hundred votes.

The campaign trail is a path few choose to travel, but don't tell that to Dorset Mayor Bobby Tufts.

The charm of a 4 year old who loves fishing goes a long way.

Dorset's election is unlike any other. You pay a dollar cast a vote and put it in the ballot box.  Thousands of votes, many in his favor, and the election is still no guarantee.  The winner is picked by chance and it was once again, Bobby Tufts!

Not even in kindergarten and already a two term mayor.  Just imagine what the future holds for little Bobby Tufts.

One of bobby's biggest competitors this year was, believe it or not, a lizard.  And FYI, this is not an office that carries any official duties for running the city.
