Man Attacked, Robbed Outside Falls Park In Greenville

A teenager was attacked and robbed while entering Falls Park in downtown Greenville by a group of men. Greenville Police say the 19-year old victim had his bike and other belongings taken on August 1 around 10:40 p.m. A teenager was attacked and robbed while entering Falls Park in downtown Greenville by a group of men. GREENVILLE, S.C. -

A teenager was attacked and robbed while entering Falls Park in downtown Greenville by a group of men.

Greenville Police say the 19-year old victim had his bike and other belongings taken on August 1 around 10:40 p.m.

The police report states the victim was riding a bike on Furman College Way from Cleveland Park toward the stone bridge leading into Falls Park when he was confronted by 10 to 12 men.

The victim says he was pushed off his bike, punched in the eye and threatened by one of the attackers with a tire iron. He gave up his bike and belongings and was kicked in the ribs.

The men then left on foot over the bridge leading into the park.

The victim could only give a limited description of his attackers because it was late at night and there was little street lighting in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Greenville Police or Crimestoppers at 23-CRIME.
