Homeless man arrested in Dunn after police track stolen iPhone

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Police have arrested a homeless man in Dunn and charged him with breaking into homes in Raleigh.

A Clark Avenue resident in Raleigh reported that his home was broken into July 30 while he was asleep. The victim told police the thief stole his iPhone and MacBook laptop computer.

The Raleigh Police tracked his iPhone to Dunn and arrested Kevin Jerome Bethea, 46, and charged him with possession of stolen goods.

The MacBook the victim reported missing was in Bethea's car at the time.

Other property was found in the car that had been reported missing in Raleigh. Police also requested the right to search Bethea's locker at a Raleigh homeless shelter. Bethea's home address was listed on the warrant as "anywhere."
