Boy dies following Raleigh pool accident

RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Raleigh Police Department said a 9-year-old boy has died after he was pulled from a pool at an apartment complex while playing with friends.

The call came in around 5 p.m. from 5014 Sedgewick Drive, Raleigh police said.

Raleigh Police and EMS vehicles responded to the Spring Forest Apartments.

Authorities said lifesaving measures were performed on the boy prior to transporting the boy to WakeMed where he died Saturday morning.
