Emerald High School Student Accused of Threatening Teachers, Police
GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. -
Deputies arrested an Emerald High School student Wednesday. The student is accused of disturbing school and threatening the life of a public official, teacher or principal.
According to the incident report, when a deputy arrived at the high school, he found the student in a conference room. The principal, assistant principal and athletic director told the deputy the student was cursing and threatening to kill several staff members and attack law enforcement. Witnesses told the deputy the student threatened to stab staff members in the neck with a pencil, and said that he would come after them, when he got out of jail.
Deputies arrested the student and booked him into the Greenwood County Detention Center.
