GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

Marshell Hill, 58, of Judson, sits inside of Greenville County Detention Center Thursday after being arrested for several charges, including murder.  

According to information released by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, "Hill had been arrested [Wednesday] at his home on an unrelated outstanding warrant and was served with the murder warrant [Thursday] evening".

Reports allege Hill of murdering the victim after a verbal altercation ensued on Wednesday morning. The altercation between Hill and the victim became physical according to reports from the sheriff's office. Reports continue, stating that Hill began striking the man several times with a stick before pushing him down some stairs outside of Hill's Greenville County home, on 3rd Street in Judson.

   

The victim died as a result of injuries sustained during the altercation with Hill according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
