BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. -

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a Greer man in a home invasion they say happened in Boiling Springs Saturday.

Deputies say they arrested 45 year old Shannon Plumley this afternoon.

They say it happened at a home on Sugar Ridge Road in Boiling Springs Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm.

Deputies say Plumley was armed with a handgun when he stormed into the home of a man they say was dating Plumley's estranged wife and assaulted the man's son with the gun.

Plumley later turned himself in to deputies.

The Sheriff's Office says Plumley faces charges of first degree burglary, kidnapping, aggravated assault and battery, malicious injury to personal property and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Deputies say because of the first degree burglary charge, a circuit court judge will have to set bond on that charge.
