AMBER Alert Cancelled After Charlotte Child Found

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police say the ten-year-old boy at the center of an AMBER Alert has been found safe in North Carolina with his mother, according to a report by WBTV-TV.

Symiir Speaks was abducted around 6:00 PM Sunday from Bird Watch Lane in northwest Charlotte. Symiir's father says his son was outside his home playing

with friends and about to head to the garage to play air hockey when a van pulled up and "snatched him."

Azzam Pendleton says Symiir's sister witnessed the event and was able to provide police with the description of the van. He does not know if Symiir

knew who was inside the van or if it was a stranger. Pendleton says he has full custody of his son.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police say there allegedly is one abductor. She was described as an unknown female, with long hair and a dark skin complexion. The

suspect vehicle was described as a dark blue minivan.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a missing child: Symiir Issa Speaks.

Symiir Issa Speaks is a 10-year-old black male, approximately 4 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 60 pounds.

He has black hair, and brown eyes.

Symiir was last seen wearing a yellow and gray polo shirt with khaki shorts. Symiir was also wearing black and orange sneakers.

The vehicle is a dark blue minivan The suspect vehicle was a dark blue unknown make or model minivan.
