Cyclist Killed In Deadly Wreck In Woodruff Identified

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger has identified the victim as 37-year-old Ruth Dalila Mathews, of Woodruff. According to a spokesperson with the coroner's office, the case is under investigation and pending toxicology results.

A woman has died after a crash on US 221 Monday night in Spartanburg County. The crash happened just after 10 p.m., a mile south of Woodruff. Troopers say a 2007 Dodge Pickup truck collided with a woman riding a bicycle. 

The woman did die, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office is investigating and has not released the woman's identity pending notification of family.
