Suspect in Ciera Clark murder out on $1 million dollar bond

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. - A woman accused of shooting and killing a Greenville woman is out of jail.

According to court documents, Allysia Parker, was able to post her $1-million dollar bond on Tuesday.

Parker, Daitrieyuaon Parker, and Timothy Reaves Jr.  face murder charges for the death of 26-year-old Ceira Clark.

Around 3:30a.m., on Aug. 17th, Clark was driving home, when witnesses say she stopped at the light on the corner of 14th Street and Tyson.  Witnesses say that’s when the three suspects allegedly shot at Clark hit her in the chest, sending her car across the intersection into a cross walk signal.  Police arrested Allysia, Daitrieyuyan and Reaves Jr. on Aug. 23rd and charged them with murder.

Clark says when the judge set the bond for all three suspects at million dollars or more she didn’t expected any of them to get out of jail anytime soon. Less than three months after her arrest, Allysia, with the help of her bail bondsman uncle made bond.

"They feel like they got the power, because they're bail bondmen.  That don't mean nothing.  That man up above got the last say so, he got the last say so," said Clark.
Clark says though she doesn’t agree with Allysia’s release, there is nothing she can do about it.

The next court date for all three suspects is Dec. 3rd.

Less than a week after someone shot and killed a woman driving her car, Greenville police have arrested three people for her murder.

It happened around 3:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Tyson Street. That's where Greenville police say someone shot 26-year-old Ceira Clark in the chest.

Police aren't releasing many details about this case because it's still under investigation, but at a press conference Friday Ceira's mother told us she knew her daughter's accused killers.

Less than a week ago Mary Clark had one mission: to find her daughter's killer. And she had a message for them:

"Whoever did this it's going to come out. Before she goes in the ground it's coming out and you will be arrested. And when you get to the Pitt County Detention Center it's all over," she said.

Friday, Mary Clark's prayers were answered.

Greenville police arrested Daitrieyuaon Parker, Allysia Parker and Timothy Reaves Jr. All three of the murder suspects are less than 25-years-old.

Wednesday, hundreds of people gathered in the streets of Greenville to honor 26-year-old Ceira Clark. It's that overwhelming community support that Chief Hassan Aden says helped police make the arrests.

"It's one of the first times since I've been here that I've seen that level of community engagement with us in this kind of serious investigation. I'm grateful for that," said Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden.

The pain will never go away for Ceira's mother. She says the father of one of the suspects is a close family friend.

"Ya'll knew me, you knew me...came right up to me the same night before you killed my daughter," she said, referring to the trio behind bars.

Not one family, but multiple families, are now torn apart.

Now Clark is on another mission: one of peace and justice.

"If you ain't in the house you need to go somewhere. Do something constructive instead of doing something destructive. You see something, you say something. Tell someone," she said.

All three of the suspects are in the Pitt County Detention Center without bond.

Greenville Police have made three arrests in the August 17th murder of a woman in Greenville.

Police say they arrested three suspects without incident in the shooting death of Ceira Michelle Clark.

Daitrieyuaon Parker, 20, Allysia Parker, 21, and Timothy Reaves Jr, 24, all of Greenville have been arrested and charged with 1 open count of murder. They're being held without bond.

Chief of Police Hassan Aden made the following statement about the arrests in a midday news conference, "Immediately following the senseless murder of Ceira Clark on August 17, 2013, the Greenville Police Department began an extensive investigation.  We achieved our goal of working with the community to gather and pursue leads that helped us successfully close this case by bringing the three suspects to justice.  They are being held at the Pitt County Detention Center with no bond.

Throughout the investigation, we held regularly scheduled homicide review meetings where we examined all of the available evidence and assigned additional resources to the most promising leads.  This is a part of how we are strengthening the investigative process and ensuring a relentless pursuit of our suspects.

I have spoken to Ceira's mother and personally informed her of the arrests.  While that is no relief for the tremendous loss she and her family have suffered, it does bring a certain level of closure from the standpoint of bringing those responsible to justice.

I want to close this briefing by urging the community to come closer together and discourage any acts of retaliation.  These acts will only result in more people being incarcerated."

We'll have more details on the case as they become available. Stay with 9 On Your Side and for the latest.
