Body Of Woman Found In Laurens Co. Remains Unidentified - August 28, 2013

Officials at the Laurens County Coroner's Office say it may take several weeks before we know the identity of a body that was found last week.

Dental records returned Wednesday were inconclusive, according to Coroner Nick Nichols.

The body was so badly decomposed that investigators are not going to have to rely on DNA testing.

The white female's body was found on Friday by someone who was mowing a field on Bramlett Church Road.

The Laurens County Coroner's Office says the body of a woman that was found last week died from a gunshot wound to the neck.

The identity of the white female has still not been identified.

Her body was found shortly after noon on Friday by someone who was mowing a field on Bramlett Church Road.

The coroner's office tells 7 On Your Side the body had been deceased for several days.

Body Found In Laurens Co., Investigation Underway - August 23, 2013

An investigation is underway in Laurens County after a body was found around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office say the body of the white female was discovered on the 4100 block of Bramlett Church Road by a person who was working on their property.

The coroner's office tells 7 On Your Side the body had been deceased for several days.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.  The investigation continues.
