The Greenville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery. Friday night around 11:30, police say a couple was was walking on University Street near Augusta Street, when they were approached by two men, one was armed with a handgun.

Police say the men demanded the couple's wallet and cell phones, then took off..

Officers tell 7 On Your Side, the couple ran back to a nearby business and called police for help.

Greenville Police have a description of the two people. The first was a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5'6''-5'8'' wearing blue jeans and a gray or green jacket. They say he was armed and had a space between his front teeth.

The second was also a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5'8''-5'10'' with a medium to heavy build, wearing a button down white and plaid shirt and jeans.
