The Tennessee Highway Patrol released more information about the crash involving a pick-up truck that careened down an embankment along Highway 19-E in Carter County.

The crash happened about 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of Indian Creek Road.

The THP says Wilburn L. Norris, 43, Johnson City, lost control of his pick-up truck on the eastbound side of Highway 19-E, hit and flipped over a guardrail, then traveled 210 feet down a hill where it came to rest.

Norris was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.  No information about his condition was available late Tuesday.
