Traffic is moving after a morning wreck Wednesday morning in Spartanburg County.

Authorities say it happened at the 65 mile marker on southbound Interstate 85.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol tells 7 On Your Side a tractor-trailer swerved to miss a deer in the roadway and ended up hitting a vehicle that was broken down on the side of the road.

The big rig wound up stopped on the hill next to the Interstate near a bridge.

Traffic was backed up several miles at one point.  No injuries were reported.

Abandoned vehicles can pose other risks to drivers that glance at them and take their eyes off the road. The Highway Patrol said yo have 48 hours to retrieve your vehicle after you leave it. Officials said immediately, they will put a tag on the sticker with the date and it will be towed two days later.

Wrecking companies like Scruggs Wrecker Service in Spartanburg  told 7 On Your Side people stop to steal motors or tires off the cars. The

towing companies will determine the vin number on the vehicle and send a certified letter to the vehicle owner. If it's not claimed, it may be sold at auction.

You can call *47 is you see a vehicle stuck or left in the road.
