Cars were backing up near downtown Greenville Wednesday morning to take advantage of free gas.

Greenville Community Bank offered $20 worth of gas at no cost for the first 200 people as part of a promotion at the Spinx station on East Washington Street.

There were similar offers for free fuel in Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix.

Cars were lined up for the promotion which was scheduled to run from 9-11 a.m.
