Some of the more than 150 dogs seized from a thought-to-be puppy mill in Anderson County are up for adoption, this week.

Anderson County P.A.W.S. took in the animals and has been caring for them since August 10.

Last week, shelter officials said at least 30 of the dogs would be ready to go to homes but that number could go up.  Those 30 pets have been cleared for release.

Adoptions will be available on a first come-first served basis with application approval.

The shelter is open Wednesday from 12 to 6 p.m. and is located at 1320 Highway 29 South in Anderson.
