Brianna Smith joined WSPA in June 2013 as the Daybreak reporter.

Brianna makes the move to the Upstate from the Grand Strand, where she worked for the ABC affiliate WPDE in Myrtle Beach.

While in Myrtle Beach, Brianna covered a wide array of stories, including a shooting at Coastal Carolina University, a wildfire that took over 100 condos, and an inaugural election for the 7th Congressional District.

Brianna graduated from Indiana University.  While there she worked as a reporter for the student run television station, IUSTV.

She also interned for NBC Chicago and WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana while studying at IU.

Although Brianna is quickly becoming a Palmetto Girl, she is a native Hoosier. Brianna loves talking basketball or any Big 10 sports.
