SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. - An 18-wheeler caught fire during an accident Thursday morning that slowed traffic on northbound Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Highway 9 Exit when the driver of the tractor trailer was unable to stop for a construction company truck working on the side of the Interstate.  The driver of the tractor trailer swerved to miss the truck, sending debris into the roadway striking another vehicle.  The tractor trailer lost control and overturned, blocking two lanes.

Troopers tell 7 On Your Side there are outstanding warrants for the driver of the tractor trailer.  That man, Jose Arrendondo, of Loredo Web, TX was charged with driving too fast for conditions.
