Humberto Still Heading for Colder North Atlantic

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Tropical Storm Humberto continues to make its way northward as a minimal tropical storm, while staying in the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Humberto could strengthen some over the next couple of days with a faster forward speed.  However, these faster upper-level winds will push Humberto quickly into colder ocean waters, where this cyclone will lose its tropical characteristics and become post-tropical by the weekend.

Humberto is not a threat to the United States.

Stay with Storm Team 9 for the latest on this and all storms in the Atlantic Basin for the 2013 Hurricane Season.
