SPARTANBURG, S.C. -

Police are searching for a man they say robbed a 91 year-old woman in her own home on a  Blvd. Thursday morning in Spartanburg.

According to the police report the victim told them she was in bed when she heard someone breaking into the house through the back door sometime after midnight.

She says she got our of bed and walked toward the door when she saw a man at her bedroom door.

She says she saw some sort of light he was holding and hit it with her crutch.

The victim says the man knocked her to the floor, stepped over her, grabbed her purse and left.

The report says the victim's eye site is bad, but she possibly recognized the voice of someone she knew.

The report lists the suspect as 33 year-old Randy Stewart.

The victim says in the report Stewart did handy work around the house. She says she filed a report recently of Stewart taking her checkbook.
