GREENVILLE, N.C. -

A man is in jail tonight after police say he shot into a home, and then led them on a chase.

It happened Saturday afternoon off Arlington Boulevard in Greenville.

Police arrested 23-year-old Gregory Rondall Spencer of Lindsay Drive in Greenville.

He is charged with discharging a weapon in an occupied area; two counts of possession of a stolen firearm; possession of marijuana up to half an ounce; possession of drug paraphernalia; two counts of resisting a public officer; go armed to terror of the people; discharging a firearm in the city; carrying a concealed weapon.

Greenville police say they got a report of shots fired at 2600 Meridian Drive around 3 o'clock. Officers say Spencer was riding a bicycle when he used a handgun to shoot at the side of that home.

Police say Spencer tried to run away, but officers ran after him and arrested him near Whitaker Drive. Police say no one was hurt.

Our own Jeff Varner saw it all happen and took the featured picture of the suspect.

Spencer's bond is set at $550,000.
