Oconee County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man wanted for a burglary earlier this month.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Watt stated that Gary Landon Medlin, 35, of Seneca, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and grand larceny on Sunday.

According to Watt, investigators were searching for Medlin following a burglary that occurred on September 9 at a home on Shannon Lane in Seneca. During the course of the incident, a resident of the home told deputies that an unknown man had kicked in the front door of the home and stole multiple guns and technology items. Deputies learned that witnesses reported seeing a gray mini-van at the home.

Warrants against Medlin were signed on September 11 and deputies apprehended him on Sunday morning. He is currently being held at the Oconee County Detention Center on a $85,000 bond.
