Liberty, S.C. -

Officers in Liberty say they have arrested the man accused of an armed robbery on Monday.

Police were called to the Stop-A-Minit just before 10 p.m. where they say a witness told them they saw a suspect running from the scene of the incident.

During a search, investigators were led to a nearby apartment complex where a person of interest was taken into custody.

Warrants were obtained for Casey William Gillespie for Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

Gillespie is being held at the Pickens County Detention Center because authorities say he had an active warrant with Greer Police.

Warrants from Liberty Police will be served as soon as he is released from Greer.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
