Car crash leaves one dead in Greenville Co

Just after 11:30p.m. a two car crash on Staunton Bridge Road left one person dead, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A man driving a 2006 Nissan and a man driving a 1996 Chevy collided Thursday night.    

The man, identified as 25-year-old James KeldrIck McCoy, of Greenville, was driving the 2006 Nissan and not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office. The coroner's office stated that McCoy was trapped in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the 1996 Chevy was wearing a seatbelt. There is no word on his condition.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
