Watch for a few showers in the mountains Friday evening, with areas farther south staying mostly dry. Do expect quite a few clouds overnight with mild temperatures. Some showers along a cold front could get into the western mountains by daybreak.
That cold front will move across the areas during the day on Saturday. Clouds and a good chance for showers and thunderstorms will accompany the front. The mountains may see rain at any point during the day; the Upstate's best chance will be in the afternoon and evening.
Locally heavy rain may accompany the stronger storms...and brief gusty winds may also occur.
After a few lingering showers Saturday evening, the rest of the weekend now looks quieter. The front should park far enough to our south to keep the deeper moisture away, leading to a mostly dry Sunday...although we may still see some clouds around at times.
It appears we'll see mostly dry weather next week. There's one minor system that could clip us with a few showers Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
