OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. -

A taste of Hollywood is coming to the Upstate.

According to our coverage partners at the Anderson Independent-Mail, Burt Reynolds is starring in a movie that films in Oconee County at the end of the month.

The romantic comedy is titled ‘Elbow Grease,’ and based in a fictional town named Guppie.

Crews will film scenes around Lake Keowee and Seneca.  Reynolds will play a grandfather.

Reynolds has shot movies in Oconee County in the past. Part of the 1970s film ‘Deliverance’ was shot there.

Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander tells 7 On Your Side that filming will start September 30 and the main cast will be in the area for at least 30 days.  The crew could be in town for at least two to three months.

Between 200 and 250 extras for the movie are needed.  If you are interested, send an email and head shot to elbowgreasemovie@gmail.com
