SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

One animal shelter in the Upstate is offering a discounted adoption rate in hopes that you will find a new friend this fall.

The Spartanburg Humane Society says all dogs over six months old are available for a special price of $22 to help celebrate the start of the season.

Several pets are available immediately. All adoptions include vaccinations, a vet check, and microchip. They are also spayed or neutered.

“We have a great selection of dogs right now,” says Shail Radloff, executive director. “It is such a wonderful experience to see these incredible dogs find their forever homes and to see the joy on the faces of the families as they are walking their new dogs for the first time out the front door. It is truly what makes my job all worthwhile.”

If you are interested in taking advantage of the special rate, the shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
