GREENVILLE, S.C. -
Greenville Police arrested a woman who they say had them searching for non-existent carjackers.
Angela McLeskey, 47, was arrested and charged with false reporting of a crime after officers set up a perimeter and searched an area off Wade Hampton Boulevard Tuesday night.
Police say McLeskey told them she claimed to be at a stop sign on Wade Hampton Boulevard at Karen Drive when two men approached her car and ordered her to get out.
She then went in reverse in the car and hit some trees.
GPD officers say they continued to investigate and determined no attempted carjacking happened and they arrested McLeskey.
