The wreck happened at 6:50 p.m. on Highway 29 at Caggiano Drive, just outside the Gaffney city limits.

Trooper Billy Elder of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said that Moore was driving his Honda motorcycle south on Highway 29 when he collided with a pickup truck driven by 61-year-old Steven Snyder, of Gaffney. Moore was transported to Novant Health Gaffney Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

"Snyder pulled into the motorcycle's path from Caggiano Drive," Fowler said. "Moore was wearing a helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle.".

Moore sustained multiple body trauma, Fowler stated. Snyder was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol's M.A.I.T. unit.
