Taylors Husband And Wife Murder / Suicide

A Husband and wife are dead after what coroners are ruling a murder/suicide in Taylors.

Donald E. Elliott Jr, 70, is dead from self-induced asphyxiation and his wife, Joyce Quinn Elliott, 64, a gunshot wound to the head according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

The Sheriff Office reports both husband and wife had medical issues and the husband did not want to leave his wife to take care of herself if something happened to him. They say the wife had a gunshot wound to the head and he suffocated himself.

Earlier the Greenville County Coroner's Office investigators were at a home in Taylors where two bodies were found Thursday morning.

The bodies of Donald and Joyce Elliott was found by a neighbor at a home on Heathwood Drive.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office tells us a neighbor checks on the couple daily and found them deceased and called 911 just before 7:30 a.m.
